Windows Vista Delta is a modification of Windows Vista which aims to recreate the aesthetic from early post-reset builds of Windows Vista, alongside bits and pieces from pre-reset builds of Longhorn. Windows Vista Delta also bring back lost features, functions, and programs from previous versions of Windows, such as Windows XP, all the while fixing inconsistencies.
The New Themes
Windows Vista Delta's main visual style is based on pre-beta 2 builds of Windows Vista, though there are another 8 options for you. Out of the box, you get Aero from build 5048, Aero from Windows 7 build 6519, Vista RTM Aero, Vista Beta 1 Aero, Jade, Blue Luna, Plex, and Slate. Do note that Plex, Luna, and Slate don't support Aero correctly.
The optional Extras Pack gives you two more themes: Aero Purple and Aero Royale. Aero Purple is a purple-colored version of the RTM Aero theme, and Aero Royale is a Royale-styled version of Windows Vista Basic.

Old Programs, New Programs
Windows Vista Delta brings back some legacy programs, such as Windows Movie Maker 2.6 and Program Manager, along with new programs from the Ultimate Extras, like Hold 'Em and Microsoft Tinker. Every program was redesigned to use icons and design from Windows Vista.

More Consistency
Windows Vista Delta is much more consistent, neat, and tidy. Icons, bitmaps, and other resources have been modified to fit Windows Vista's style. Stumbling upon resources from 1995 will be much rarer now.

While not an "official" Delta release, Project '05, made by xodus, has a similar goal to Windows Vista Delta. It's based on x64 Vista Ultimate, and has all official updates bundled in. Check it out, it's pretty cool.
